WHICH DISNEY CHARACTER ARE YOU, BASED ON YOUR ZODIAC SIGN?

Disney characters are created to have dynamic personalities. Their identities are never one dimensional, and there are always many layers to them. While we may not know the actual birthdays of most Disney characters, there are some who stand out so obviously as a certain zodiac sign-- we’re looking at you Mulan! Spoiler: she’s about as Capricorn as it gets. Find out which Disney character you are most like, based on your zodiac sign:

CAPRICORN: December 22 – January 20

Mulan | Mulan

“The Elegant Warrior” by Heather Theurer | Shop: http://bit.ly/2CWLN26

Element: Earth

Strengths: Responsible, disciplined, self-control, good managers.

Weaknesses: Know-it-all, unforgiving, condescending, expecting the worst.

Capricorns are known for being self-motivated, responsible and hard workers-- which means Mulan may be the most obvious Capricorn in the Disney franchize. Mulan has her eye on the prize and will do whatever it takes to achieve her dreams (even if it means pretending she’s a man). Capricorns are always prepared for any given situation because they often expect the worst case scenario. Mulan is a disciplined warrior through and through, and her Sagittarius tendencies are what help her succeed in her endeavors.

AQUARIUS: January 20 – February 18

Jack Sparrow | Pirates of the Caribbean

“Captain Jack Sparrow” by John Alvin | Shop: http://bit.ly/2qwAzK9

Element: Air

Strengths: Progressive, original, independent, humanitarian.

Weaknesses: Runs from emotional expression, temperamental, uncompromising, aloof.

Aquarius’ tend to be uninviting and distant, and Jack Sparrow is just that. They are also often known as the hot and cold sign: you never know what you’re going to get from an Aquarius, as their temperaments are unpredictable. Maybe it’s the booze, but we think that Jack Sparrow’s eccentric behavior can be attributed to this zodiac sign. Aquarius’ and Jack Sparrow alike tend to find themselves in leadership positions because they’re so independent and unique. They start the movement, and they go in guns blazing.

PISCES: February 18 – March 20

Ariel | The Little Mermaid

“Ariel” by James C. Mulligan | Shop: http://bit.ly/2AIbMsk

Element: Water

Strengths: Merciful, artistic, intuitive, kind, smart, musical.

Weaknesses: Afraid of many things, too naïve, moody, escape from the real world, is commonly a victim.

With the voice of an angel and her kind-hearted nature, Ariel is a prime example of a Pisces. She is extremely trusting of others (blindly giving her voice away to Ursula?), and this often gets her into trouble. This absolutely reminds us of the naive-like ways of a Pisces. They’re also known for being the daydreamers of the zodiac world, which perfectly aligns with how Ariel wishes she could walk on land with a set of her own two feet.

ARIES:  March 20 – April 20

Jasmine | Aladdin

“Falling For Aladdin” by Rob Kaz | Shop: http://bit.ly/2zptmQh

Element: Fire

Strengths: Courageous, determined, confident, enthusiastic, optimistic, honest, passionate.

Weaknesses: Impatient, moody, short-tempered, impulsive, aggressive.

Aries’ are the leaders of the zodiac kingdom, and Jasmine is no exception to that role. She goes for what she believes in, and to her and other Aries signs, rules are only seen as mere guidelines. Jasmine fearlessly follows her gut, despite what the law or other authority may say-- and she does so with confidence, enthusiasm and a hint of sarcasm to keep Aladdin on his toes.

TAURUS: April 20 – May 21

Woody | Toy Story

“Woody’s Roundup” by Trevor Carlton | Shop: http://bit.ly/2DhC8Ej

Element: Earth

Strengths: Reliable, patient, practical, devoted, responsible, stable.

Weaknesses: Stubborn, possessive, uncompromising.

Woody is the leader that every toy needs.

He goes to infinity and beyond (get it?) to maintain positive relationships with all of the other toys in the room. Woody is honest and a good leader-- he loves to be the ringleader of Andy’s room! But when his hierarchy is challenged by Buzz, in true Taurus fashion, he feels threatened. He is both stubborn and possessive, two classic traits of a Taurus. But even if Woody is set in his ways, he can be swayed to see that change isn’t all that bad (as long as it was sort of his idea in the end).

GEMINI: May 21 – June 21

Alice | Alice in Wonderland

“Dreaming in Color” by Tim Rogerson | Shop: http://bit.ly/2QjSHCt

Element: Air

Strengths: Gentle, affectionate, curious, adaptable, ability to learn quickly and exchange ideas.

Weaknesses: Nervous, inconsistent, indecisive.

When Alice fell down the rabbit hole, we were shocked at where her curiosity took her. But for a typical Gemini like Alice, that’s just Tuesday. Master communicators and social butterflies: Gemini’s make friends with anyone and everyone-- and Alice’s adventure is no exception to this. She makes many friends with a whole array of different personalities along her journey. Alice surrounds herself with people, and exciting people, showing us some true Gemini qualities. Everyone wants to party with a Gemini!

CANCER: June 21 – July 23

Olaf | Frozen

“Olaf” by Trevor Mezak | Shop: http://bit.ly/2P1YZtA

Element: Water

Strengths: Tenacious, highly imaginative, loyal, emotional, sympathetic, persuasive.

Weaknesses: Moody, pessimistic, suspicious, manipulative, insecure.

Olaf has a personality that is very emotion-driven. Being that Cancer’s are specifically known for their emotional nature, Olaf just may be a spot on example of this sign. Cancer’s are also known for being particularly loyal, much like Olaf was toward Elsa and Anna throughout their story together. He is sympathetic, loyal and compassionate-- all telltale signs of a Cancer.

LEO: July 23 – August 23

Nala | The Lion King

Source: http://bit.ly/2D6OaiW

Element: Fire

Strengths: Creative, passionate, generous, warm-hearted, cheerful, humorous.

Weaknesses: Arrogant, stubborn, self-centered, lazy, inflexible.

Simba is the King of the Jungle, but he would be nothing without his Queen. Yep, we’re talking about Nala, and she is a Leo through and through. Nala and other Leo’s alike aren’t afraid to take center stage-- in fact, they love the attention! They’re stubborn and sometimes arrogant, but we don’t mind it because they always have the wits and the sass to back it up. This lioness Leo is both protective and compassionate, a combination that makes her a great mother.

VIRGO: August 23 – September 23

Cinderella | Cinderella

“The Life She Dreams Of” by John Rowe | Shop: http://bit.ly/2yJabkI

Element: Earth

Strengths: Loyal, analytical, kind, hardworking, practical.

Weaknesses: Shyness, worry, overly critical of self and others, all work and no play.

Frankly, Cinderella is often seen as the least interesting of the Disney princess squad. However, her true deep qualities within show us that she is Virgo to her core. Virgo’s are known for being clean and neat, so there’s no denying Cinderella’s Virgo qualities in this instance. For Pete’s sake, she’s basically the family maid! Toss Cinderella a mop and she’ll go to town on those floors until they’re spotless-- which leads us to some other typical traits of a Virgo: hardworking and loyal. Despite her less than ideal family situation, she continues to work hard and be respectful toward her family members who act callous toward her. Virgos are the true “kill ‘em with kindness” sign.

LIBRA: September 23 – October 23

Tarzan | Tarzan

Source: http://bit.ly/2RJOYON

Element: Air

Strengths: Cooperative, diplomatic, gracious, fair-minded, social.

Weaknesses: Indecisive, avoids confrontations, will carry a grudge, self-pity.

It’s no secret that Tarzan was raised by wolves Gorilla’s, so naturally, he was forced to adapt to their lifestyle. In the truest fashion of an indecisive Libra, Tarzan juggles many relationships, but has a hard time choosing between them. Between his mother, father, Jane and now his quest to find his birth parents-- he has a difficult time balancing his priorities. But when it comes down to it, you can’t exactly get mad at a Libra like Tarzan because they always mean well.

SCORPIO: October 23 – November 22

Megara | Hercules

Source: http://bit.ly/2AR4J0u

Element: Water

Strengths: Resourceful, brave, passionate, stubborn, a true friend.

Weaknesses: Distrusting, jealous, secretive, violent.

Scorpio’s are protective of their own hearts, but once they do let someone in, that person is lucky enough to see the truly passionate person behind the walls they have built. Meg from Hercules exhibits just these characteristics and more of a Scorpio. She is both a tease and a flirt, as she seduces her way to Hercules’ heart. This is a classic Scorpio move. Sarcastic, mysterious and sometimes quick-tempted: Meg is your typical Scorpio.

SAGITTARIUS: November 22 – December 22

Aladdin | Aladdin

“Magical Journey” by Rodel Gonzalez | Shop: http://bit.ly/2SGDMnk

Element: Fire

Strengths: Generous, idealistic, great sense of humor.

Weaknesses: Promises more than can deliver, very impatient, will say anything no matter how undiplomatic.

Often the sign who bites off more than they can chew, Aladdin is a perfect example of a Sagittarius. Aladdin finds himself in over his head with this whole “I’m a prince” fib-- a classic scenario that a Sagittarius would find themself in. He is generous, witty and rich (or so he says). Sagittarius’ are also known for their love of travel, so it’s a good thing that Aladdin has a magic carpet to take him on his next adventure!

Zodiac signs help give a sense identity and understanding to people, and what better way to find meaning than to do it through our favorite Disney characters. While some of these characters may be known as the villains, this helps remind us of the multidimensional characters that Disney has created. Not all characters are all bad, and even the good ones are flawed, too.
