Clarence Nash Original Photograph Inscribed and signed by voice of Donald Duck
Photograph on 1.5-weight paper, 10" x 8"
Here is a superb original photograph of Clarence "Ducky" Nash—longtime voice of Donald Duck— with a large Donald doll that he handsomely inscribed and signed "Best Wishes to 'Jackie' —Donald Duck & Clarence Nash." The picture was taken in 1943, and Mr. Nash is posed in front of a storyboard for one or more Donald Duck cartoons then in development, one of which may be Donald Duck and the Gorilla (1944).
Mr. Nash was the voice of Donald Duck from the character's first appearance in The Wise Little Hen (1934), and he performed that role in over 150 shorts, television shows, and feature films. An excellent and extensive article on the life and career of Clarence Nash by Jim Korkis can be read at: https://www.mouseplanet.com/10730/Becoming_Donald_Duck_The_Clarence_Nash_Story.
This is an original photograph produced by Walt Disney Productions, and its file number is handwritten on the back in pencil.
