This is a handsome color-illustrated paperbound book with gold-printed, raised image of Sleeping Beauty Castle on the cover that was produced for new Disneyland employees. It was first issued in 1973 to describe in words and pictures the attributes of a good Disneyland cast member in contributing to a positive guest experience. It provides a thorough grounding in the history and legacy of Walt Disney and his contributions to our culture including sections titled The First Half Century chronicling milestones in Disney filmmaking, television, and the opening of Disneyland and Walt Disney World; Quality; Uniqueness; Friendliness; The Disney Family Audience; Synergy; and The Disney Team Around the World.
On page 27 appears the moving tribute to Walt Disney delivered by Eric Sevareid on the CBS Evening News shortly after Walt's passing in December, 1966.
There are two .5" tears in the spine and in the back cover; there is light wear and handling evident in the back cover: overall, FINE condition.
